Who is this bike suitable for?

This one's pretty obvious - It's for kids who require that little bit of assistance! This 24" wheeled unisex kids electric bike is suitable for children ranging from the age of 9 onwards. A kids specific chassis and refined Yamaha eBike system.

The new Haibike sDuro HardFour RX is the answer!
The sDuro HardFour RX offers refined kids geometry and a smaller 24" wheel. Suitable for boys or girls with an average age of 8 onwards.
This simple spec'd bike is great for children and Haibike have included a refined version of the 2016 Yamaha system, learn more further down the page.

The 2016 sDuro HardFour RX features a 9 speed Shimano Acera gear system with simple to use trigger shifters to give the kids full versatility across varied climbs and descents. Remember with crank drive you can use the gears with the assistance.

The smaller 24" wheels offer kids full control and stability. Small enough to manoeuvre around, but big enough to take on a full day's ride and follow the parents through varied terrain.
Although kids sized wheels, Haibike have built them with decent disc hubs and double wall rims.
On the 2016 sDuro HardFour RX we see the Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. Simple to use and fairly maintenance free, it's a good option on this 24" kid's bike.
With the electric assistance we want to ensure braking power remains solid.
Thrown into the mix are a set of 24" Schwalbe Table Top tyres. Both lightweight and durable in their construction, they allow a faster rolling resistance while maintaining grip at the same time. A good choice for a mixture of surfaces.

We are excited about this bike, for the first time ever we can offer a proper German crank drive Yamaha eBike. Finally you can take the kids on a full ride out without the stresses and strains of them getting worn out after a short distance. Ultimately this equals more ride time, more ride time = more fun. It's a winner all round!

Yamaha eBike System

The new Haibike sDuro HardFour RX is powered by the latest Yamaha electric bike system. Haibike has partnered with Yamaha to bring a brand new line of sDuro eBikes, this 250w motor offers up to 280% assistance and peaks at 60Nm of restricted torque (on this kids version).
The assistance is set in 3 levels on the kids version - 'Eco', 'Standard' & 'High'. This allows the child to fine tune the amount of assistance required. We also see a new set of controls that loose the LCD screen in replace of simple on / off power and assistance, easy to use buttons.
The Haibike sDuro Hard Four RX 2016 eBike is offered with the largest 400Wh Yamaha battery to give a full day's ride time. Now your son / daughter can join you for the longer rides too!
On the Kids version the assistance speed is lowered down to 12.5mph. We want children to have fun whilst maintaining a safe pace. We also remove the walk assist and simplify the levels to make it as user friendly as possible.

Scott have specified the new 2016 FOX 32 Float 100mm travel forks on the E-Aspect. These forks are perfect trail riding without soaking up too much energy consumption.
The forks are completely air adjustable and offer the famous CTD (Climb, Trail & Descent) modes for superior trail adjustment.
This adjustment is normally adjusted down on the forks, but Scott have an exclusive Scott RideLoc remote FOX CTD lever design mounted up on the handlebars.

For 2016 Scott have introduced a new tyre from German tyre manufacturer - Schwalbe. These new tyres have evolved from 2 popular previous tyres merged. The Schwalbe Rapid Rob & Racing Ralph tyres are now married into the new Tough Tom!

The E-Aspect 910 2016 is offered with Shimano's new 11 speed drivetrain. The XT setup offers a huge range of gearing from 11 to 42 teeth. So you have excellent ratios for both climbing and flying back down the trails.
The Shimano Deore disc brakes offer similar characteristics to the XT style brakes with servo action levers and larger callipers to offer good levels of braking and control.
The Scott E-Aspect 910 benefits from 29" wheels so they roll really fast and cover more distance on each revolution. The 29" wheels also roll over obstacles easier and allow easy use on the road.
For 2016 the wheels are built using a Shimano front and rear hubs. These are laced onto strong yet lightweight Syncros X23 alloy double wall disc specific rims.

Finished with decent Syncros bars and stem, coupled with a fantastic Syncros saddle mean minimal alterations and it's ready to ride out of the box. A good way into eMTB'ing offered on a hardtail chassis and good components at a reasonable price!

The new 2016 Haibike sDuro Cross SL offers a refined chassis for a mixture of riding. If you are looking for a sporty model, but tend to rider lighter terrain? Then this eBike is for you. Built with frames based on the mountain bikes but with the geometry set for a 700C wheel, this bike is equipped for your sportier rider looking for that middle ground between a clutter free trekking bike and a mountain bike, more commonly know as a hybrid bike. Offered in a Men's or Unisex frame with the Yamaha drive.

New Features

The Haibike sDuro Cross SL is available in both Men's (crossbar) & Unisex (approx 2" drop) variants for 2016.The unisex variant offers a slightly lower cross bar and refined geometry to allow a slightly more upright position.
This on and off road bike is equipped with fast rolling 700c wheels so they are easy work on tarmac where needs be.
Haibike have equipped this new Yamaha powered Cross SL with Schwalbe Smart Sam Plus tyres, with a fast rolling resistance, but good grip, these all terrain tyres grip well even in slippery conditions.
These tyres are eBike ready and the only mixed surface tyre that offer the Kevlar puncture proof lining to prevent nasty punctures mid-ride.

The 2016 sDuro Cross SL features the Suntour NRX-D front suspension fork, offering a mild 75mm of travel to take the zing out of the front end. these lightweight fork's are constructed of magnesium lowers and are fully air adjustable so we can fine tune to the rider's specific weight requirements.
The NRX-D fork's also offer a lockout for maximum efficiency whilst climbing & are offered with a tapered steerer for a stiffer construction and less flex. For 2016 the Cross SL comes with 10 speed gearing brings it in line with the current market and means that you have a electric mountain bike with a full range both up and down hill.  

The 700c wheels are made up of XLC disc hubs which are quick release front and rear, these are laced onto Rodi disc specific alloy double wall rims and Sapim double butted spokes.
A strong but lightweight wheelset, perfect for your everyday biker!
On the 2016 sDuro Cross SL we see the Tektro hydraulic disc brakes front and rear with larger 180mm rotors for increased stopping power.
The fast stopping Tektro Gemini hydraulic disc brake and you can be sure to pull up hard as you come to a stop. These brakes offer minimal maintenance and fuss.
The pads last double the time of a standard V brake pad, they are self cleaning and offer superior amounts of stopping power.

Suitable both on / off road, it's a hybrid bike at heart but can also be used as a clutter free commuter, a little more versatile in that you can use it off road too. A German built bike with the Yamaha crank drive motor, all for under £2K? You decide!

Drivetrain: The precise engineering of the “best in class” SRAM drivetrain, consisting of a SRAM XO1 X-Actuation 11-speed trigger shifter and a SRAM XO1 X-Horizon 11-speed rear derailleur will ease shifting, making it simple to accurately change gears.
Frame: The Felt LEBOWSKe features a Fat Tire Bosch eMTB Double Butted 6061 aircraft grade aluminum frame. It has a high strength to weight ratio and is highly resistant to corrosion, keeping you on the trail for years to come. The frame also features some unique qualities such as a tapered headtube, reducing stress and adding stability, and a cable inlet system, giving the bike an elegant solution for routing the wires and cables.
Motor: The Felt LEBOWSKe utilizes the Bosch 350 Watt Generation 2 Performance motor delivering up to 60Nm of torque, rated as the best in the industry. The new Bosch Drive Units are fitted with sensors for power, pedal rate and speed with a sampling rate of 1,000 readings per second using a modern 32-Bit processor, the motor seamlessly adjusts to your abilities. In addition, Bosch also developed an automatic gear changer for the new systems: when changing gears the torque is reduced, so that damage to the gears and chain is noticeably reduced. The new Bosch Generation 2 motor systems are extremely responsive, giving a natural and smooth ride.
Drive Modes: The Bosch eSystem features a variety of drive modes to meet a wide range of needs, including the option to turn assist modes off. Turbo mode offers maximum power assistance with the motor contributing an additional 275% to the rider’s pedal power. Sport mode will give immediate power assist for sport riding and contributes 170%. Tour mode is optimal for long tours because of its consistent power and adds 110% to the rider’s efforts. Eco mode is the most effective drive mode to get maximum range by contributing 50% power. Lastly, the Felt LEBOWSKe has the option to turn off all assist modes and the bike will perform as a normal non-assisted bike would.
Display: The dual mode display has two main functions; to allow the rider to control drive parameters, and to display system information, including distance, time and speed. The control pad allows you to access all the computer and drive functions remotely, leaving your hands on the bar to maintain safety and security. To change motor settings while riding, simply push the large, glove friendly keys on the handlebar control pad. This ensures safety and stability, while still allowing you to control the motor for optimal performance.

Top Speed: Like most electric bikes sold in the US, the LEBOWSKe has a top speed of 20 mph in keeping with federal law. There are ways to remove this speed limit for use on private roadways, however the jury is still out on how this will impact your Warranty. Until we get an official word from Felt, we’re going to err on the side of caution. Please contact us to learn about the concerns with making this modification.
Range: The Felt LEBOWSKe utilizes Bosch’s extremely efficient 400Wh battery with a range of up to 60 miles in Eco mode under optimal conditions. Range will always vary depending on use of drive mode, how much you pedal, the type of terrain, and the rider’s weight.
Sizing Options: The LEBOWSKe comes in a variety of sizes; Small (16”), Medium (18.5”), and Large (21”). If you’re unsure of what size would be best for you, please contact us so that we can assist you in finding your correct fit.
Wheels: The Felt LEBOWSKe comes with Vee Rubber 26” x 4” Double Wall wheels, making it a fat tire bike. These wheels are made with 32 spoke holes, Folding Bead, Dual Compound and 120 Threads Per Inch Casing Material. The width and low pressure provides the necessary traction for extreme terrain such as deep sand, snow, and mud, making this a great wheelset for medium-hard trail riding.
Color: The LEBOWSKe is available in Gloss Raw Clear/ Satin Black (Gloss Flouro Red).
